Grandma's b-day and fire

Looking out our bedroom balcony on Monday afternoon, a little too close for comfort. All turned out well, and nobody lost their home or life. The firefighters did an amazing job, and it was such a blessing having a pond so close by for all the helicopters to refill their buckets. Mallory enjoyed watching the helicopters getting the water and dumping it and the spray planes zooming in.

Grandma's birthday dinner

Good to hear what's going on there! We have been SO lucky this year to not have to much fire problems. Glad that one wasn't bad! Love your family picture!

How very scary, glad to hear they have it under control and that no one lost their home.

Your kids are such dolls btw!

Glad the fire behaved! While it's fun watching helicopters, it probably would have been easier on the nerves if it wasn't from your porch(:
